Top 5 Recipe Contest Entries | Part 1

Updated: Apr 12, 2022

We asked our followers, “How Do You Honey” and wow, did you guys come through!

After combing through our submissions, the World Honey Market team has narrowed the entries down to the top five!

Over the next few weeks, we will be highlighting each of our top five recipes in no particular order before revealing our grand prize winner next month.

Let’s kick it off with an Artichoke Heart Datil Sting Flatbread from Avery Cortland.

Cortland boasts this “super easy, quick and light meal can be prepped and ready to eat in under 20 minutes.”

Avery also notes that while this is a vegetarian recipe, you could absolutely make it your own by adding pepperoni, prosciutto, or salami.

Submission #1: Artichoke Heart Datil Sting Flatbread

  • Naan-Style Flatbread

  • 1 tablespoon of Olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic

  • ½ cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

  • Sun-dried tomatoes

  • 2 tablespoons Datil Sting Hot Honey

  • 1 cup Spinach

  • Drizzle the bread with oil and spread 2 tablespoons of minced garlic.

  • In larger even pieces, chop your spinach and fresh mushrooms and disperse them evenly over the flatbread.

  • Open the canned artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes. Be sure to let the liquid drain off before placing and place the cut pieces over the flatbread in the desired amount.

  • Top the naan bread with the shredded mozzarella cheese.

  • Drizzle the flatbread with Datil Sting Hot Honey.

  • Bake the flatbread until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden about 11-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  • Cut into slices and serve hot.
